An incredible girl

I don't know why I haven't mentioned this before, but today seems like a good time...

About a month ago I receieved a message on facebook from a girl sending condolences and sweet words, I replied and thanked her for the encouragement! Then.... I looked at her profile and saw many condolences on her wall and I knew something had happened.... she had a link to her blog and I instantly went. What I read is something that forever changed me, I actually sat in the same spot for two hours in disbelief and brokeness that someone else's life was shattered just as mine had been. My new sweet friend Bonnie lost her incredible husband on Jan 5th in a similar way to Preston. It is actually very eery how similar our stories are. She too is pregnant and due in August. And has a little girl the same age as Jacob, however these are just two of the similarities. Bonnie found me through a friend who had heard about our story, but I have no doubt at all that this was God's amazingly loving hand working in both our lives... he has used her in my life and in my grief in ways that I will forever be grateful for. It is moments like this when I feel God's gracious arms wrapped around me so tightly that I feel ashamed I have ever lacked trust in Him.
We actually get to meet soon because she lives close to where Preston's extended family is from - is that not great? As Bonnie and I have met on earth, we have often mentioned that we're sure our husbands have met in Heaven and are looking down on us together. We are beginning to pick up the left over peices that our two sweet men left behind, but we're doing it together... and somehow although we live a thousand miles apart, it makes me feel better. She is an amazing girl, I admire her SO much and I had to share her blog for you to read, and to lift her up in your prayers as well.

Just wanted to say HI:)
God provides the perfect friends for us. I am so convinced of that. I know you are blessing Bonnie just as much as she is blessing you.

Oh Tara, the circumstances that connect you and Bonnie break my heart. But - WOW - the light that you two women are in a dark world....the light that also shines thanks to the lives of your incredible husbands.

You two are amazing. An incredible inspiration in my daily walk with Christ. God bless you, girl.

I am so glad that you two connected. When I stumbled across Bonnie's blog it reminded me so much of your story. I then saw one of her friends was friends with my best friend. I prayed that you two would connect and be able to comfort and encourage each other. It was totally God at work. I don't know either of you, but I have been praying for you since the accident. Blessings in these last weeks of pregnancy. I pray that God will give you his amazing strength daily.

Hi, you don't know me but your story has deeply moved and inspired me. I first read your story in The Vernon BC newspaper "The Morning Star" and follow your blog from time to time. A friend from Church lost his best friend in a similar way back in June I belive it was. He was a youth leader from Edmonton Alberta who left behind a pregnant wife and two young kids. Here's the address to his memorial site and a facebook link if you are interested. God bless my thoughts and prayers are with you!
